Graham County Schools Flu Plan 2009-2010
Help fight the flu! Graham County Schools is taking a proactive approach to help prevent the spread of seasonal and H1Na flu.The following school plan as recommended by the CDC has been put in place for staff and students.We need your support in making this prevention program successful. 1. Stay home when sick: Those with flu-like illness should stay home for a least 24 hours after they no longer have a feer, or signs of a fever, without the use of fever-reducing medicines. They should stay home even if they are using antiviral durgs. (For more information, visit http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/guidance/exclusions.htm.) 2. Separate ill students and staff: Students and staff who appear to have flu-like illness should be sent to a room separate from others until they can be sent home. 3. BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS Online training for Graham County School Employees Graham County Schools require employees to receive annual training for Blood Borne Pathogens. This online module is designed as an annual renewal course. If you are a new employee taking this training for the first time, please complete the test and arrange to personally give it to the school nurse for your school . The purpose for this is to allow an opportunity for any questions or discussion related to this topic.
