  Message from Superintendent Chip Carringer:

Graham County Schools has a tradition of performing well in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. I appreciate the dedication and hard work of our teachers, staff, and students, all of which contribute to the performance of our schools. Parents and community are also vital components to the success of Graham County Schools and I appreciate and value their support and cooperation. All stakeholders are essential to the continued success of our school system in providing a safe learning environment in which all students can succeed.

Many of our facilities have been renovated or upgraded in recent years as we strive to meet the educational needs of 21st century students. Our newest facility, The Teddy Phillips Healthful Living Center, opened this past school year and is a welcome and much needed addition to our athletic programs. A major renovation project for the 2009-2010 school year will be remodeling the old Graham County Health Department to house our Youth Developmental Center.  We are excited about this project as it will enhance our educational facilities for the students of Graham County.

I am thankful to be a part of Graham County and its school system. Your child's education is our priority and I encourage you to be involved and become a partner in the education of your child. I look forward to another great year as we work together to meet the educational needs of our students.

Chip Carringer, Superintendent
